Die mit Bauxitvorkommen verbundenen Minerale sind in der Regel Tonminerale, Kiesels\u00e4ure, Eisenoxide und Hydroxide. Sie bilden sich in gro\u00dfen Mengen an Verwitterungsstellen von Alumosilikatgestein in hei\u00dfen Klimazonen, weshalb der Bauxitabbau in Australien, Brasilien, China, Mittelamerika, Afrika, Frankreich und Griechenland am besten entwickelt ist.  In Polen wird Bauxit unter anderem in der N\u00e4he von Nowa Ruda in Niederschlesien gefunden.<\/p><p>Nach dem Abbau wird Bauxit zu Tonerde raffiniert, die dann in Aluminium umgewandelt wird.<\/p><p>Die Umwandlung von Aluminium aus Bauxiterz in Metall erfolgt in drei Stufen.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section gr\u00f6\u00dfte Bauxitmine der Welt, Weipa.<\/p><p>Guinea, der drittgr\u00f6\u00dfte Produzent von Bauxit, verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber mehr als sieben Milliarden Tonnen Bauxitreserven, mehr als jedes andere Land der Welt. Dar\u00fcber hinaus ist Guinea der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Bauxitexporteur der Welt. <b>So viel wie 76%<\/b> Die Ausfuhren Guineas gehen nach China.<\/p><p>Nachdem das Bauxit aus dem Boden gewonnen wurde, wird es zu einer Schmelzanlage transportiert, um Tonerde zu erzeugen, der zweite Schritt im Produktionsprozess.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-0b0d8c4 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"0b0d8c4\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-b7e7b2b\" data-id=\"b7e7b2b\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8beb949 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8beb949\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><b>Stufe 2: Herstellung von Tonerde<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Im Jahr 1890 erfand der \u00f6sterreichische Chemiker Carl Josef Bayer ein revolution\u00e4res Verfahren zur Gewinnung von Tonerde aus Bauxit. Heute, mehr als 100 Jahre sp\u00e4ter, <b>etwa 90%<\/b> Schmelzh\u00fctten verwenden immer noch das Bayer-Verfahren zur Veredelung von Bauxit.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); color: var(--the7-base-color); letter-spacing: var(--the7-base-letter-spacing); text-transform: var(--the7-base-text-transform); word-spacing: normal;\">Die vier wichtigsten Phasen des Bayer-Prozesses:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mineralisierung:<\/strong><br>Das Bauxit wird mit Natriumhydroxid vermischt und unter Druck erhitzt. In diesem Stadium l\u00f6st das Natriumhydroxid selektiv die Tonerde aus dem Bauxit, w\u00e4hrend die anderen Mineralien als Verunreinigungen zur\u00fcckbleiben.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Filtrierung:<\/strong><br>Die Verunreinigungen werden abgetrennt und aus der L\u00f6sung gefiltert, wobei ein R\u00fcckstand entsteht, der als Rotschlamm bezeichnet wird. Sobald der Schlamm ausgef\u00e4llt ist, wird der Alaun in Natriumaluminat umgewandelt.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Niederschlag:<\/strong><br>Die Natriumaluminatl\u00f6sung wird abgek\u00fchlt und f\u00e4llt zu einer festen, kristallisierten Form von Aluminiumhydroxid aus.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kalzinierung: <\/strong><br>Aluminiumhydroxidkristalle werden gewaschen und in Kalzinieranlagen erhitzt, um reines Aluminiumoxid zu bilden - ein sandiges, wei\u00dfes Material.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Der bei der Tonerdegewinnung anfallende Schlamm ist ein ernstes Umweltproblem. F\u00fcr jede Tonne Tonerde fallen in den H\u00fctten 1,2 Tonnen Rotschlamm an, der gelagert wird und bei dem nicht ganz klar ist, was mit ihm geschehen soll. Derzeit gibt es mehr als <b>drei Milliarden Tonnen<\/b> dieses Materials.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section
