Once the raw material has been delivered, we weigh it and check it.
We value each consignment of osmium on a case-by-case basis. We take into account the metal content, its purity, form, weight, and the costs of analysis and any processing required. Certificates, test results and information on the material’s origin are helpful.
In the case of crystalline osmium, we distinguish between the value of the metal contained and the retail price of the item. A certificate or the price paid on a previous purchase may provide additional information, but do not determine the buy-back price.
Analysis and admission criteria
We agree on the method of analysis and preparation of the material after reviewing its form and documentation. The possibility of purchasing complex materials depends on their composition and the cost-effectiveness of osmium recovery.
Powders, chemical compounds and materials of unknown composition require prior agreement on the terms of acceptance. Please contact us before delivery or dispatch and provide any available information about the material and its packaging.
The prices quoted apply to orders from private customers. For larger quantities or business-to-business sales, the price is set on a case-by-case basis – it will be higher.
