Based on the information provided, we will prepare a preliminary quote
Please deliver the material to our branch in person or send it by courier.
Once the raw material has been delivered, we weigh it and check it.
We purchase iridium spark plugs sourced from car and motorbike workshops, service centres, vehicle dismantling facilities and warehouse stock. A used spark plug can still be a source of valuable metal, so it is worth collecting them separately and sending them in for valuation.
Iridium is usually found in the small tip of the centre electrode, which is made of an iridium alloy. In some designs, platinum is also present on the side electrode. The precious metal content therefore depends on the manufacturer and the spark plug model.
The valuation of spark plugs takes into account their type, number, the condition of the electrode tips and the recoverable precious metal content. The weight of the entire spark plug does not correspond to the weight of the iridium it contains.
Before handing over the material, it is advisable to separate the iridium spark plugs from the rest and, where possible, sort them according to their markings. There is no need to break up the ceramic parts or remove the electrodes yourself — we will agree on how to prepare the batch once we have examined the material.
Analysis and valuation
The valuation of iridium and its alloys is based on the specified metal content, the current price used for settlement, and the costs of processing and recovery. We prepare non-homogeneous materials for testing using a method suited to their form, in order to obtain a representative analytical result.
The prices quoted apply to orders from private customers. For larger quantities or business-to-business sales, the price is set on a case-by-case basis – it will be higher.
No raw materials have been added yet.
Prices do not include PCC tax. For sales exceeding 1,000 PLN, the tax is 2%.
We will send you a quotation and get in touch regarding the collection of raw materials.
