How can you recognise tantalum?

It is very dense and chemically resistant. It usually comes to us as electronic scrap (tantalum capacitors) or production waste. Miniature tantalum capacitors on circuit boards have a distinctive, teardrop-shaped appearance.

Accepted forms

  • powder
  • granules
  • lumps
  • bars
  • rods

We price tantalum capacitors from electronic circuit boards based on their metal content.

Tantalum purchasing – electrodes and pricing

We purchase tantalum (Ta) in all forms – pure metal, scrap, powders and electronic components. Tantalum is highly corrosion-resistant and is highly valued in the electronics and medical industries.

Tantalum electrodes and tantalum scrap

As well as capacitors and powders, we also accept tantalum electrodes and tantalum scrap from the manufacture and dismantling of equipment.

The price of tantalum

The price is based on current raw material market prices and, for a specific batch, depends on the metal content and the form of the material – we value pure scrap higher than components from which tantalum still needs to be recovered.
