How can you recognise dysprosia?

Like terbium, it is mainly used as an additive in NdFeB magnets employed in motors and generators designed to operate at high temperatures. Even a small amount of dysprosium significantly increases the magnets’ resistance to demagnetisation at high temperatures.

Accepted forms

  • metal
  • lumps
  • powder
  • oxide
  • alloys and high-temperature NdFeB magnets

We purchase magnets from electric motors and generators — we determine the dysprosium content by analytical analysis.
