How do we value silver?

We value silver contacts based on the base price of 925-fine silver, multiplied by the proportion of silver in the material supplied. We determine the silver content through analysis, ensuring that the valuation reflects the actual composition of the material.

We remelt the non-homogeneous material and then analyse it in our laboratory. Homogenising the batch enables us to obtain a representative analysis result and determine the silver content, which forms the basis for settlement.

We accept the following items for valuation, amongst others:

  • silver jewellery, including damaged and incomplete pieces
  • silver bars, coins, granules and scrap
  • silver electrical contacts and contact materials
  • silver-plated industrial components
  • scrap, filings and other production residues containing silver
