How can you recognise a samar?

SmCo magnets have a characteristic brass or silvery hue and are used in applications where NdFeB magnets fail due to heat (aeronautical and military engines). SmCo magnets retain their magnetic strength even at temperatures at which neodymium magnets have already lost their properties.

Accepted forms

  • lumps
  • powder
  • oxide
  • Sm–Co alloy
  • magnets and magnetic scrap

We purchase SmCo magnets salvaged from dismantled industrial and military equipment.
