Copper purchasing in Katowice
We serve copper suppliers in Katowice and the Silesian conurbation – industrial plants, installation, electrical and demolition firms, as well as scrap metal dealers. We do not operate a collection point in Katowice itself, which is why we organise the following for businesses: collection of copper by RMC transport or we accept deliveries at our branches, including those in Mielec.
We buy copper in all forms – from mill bars and lump copper, through bleached copper and shavings, to granules and cables. We describe the grades and current prices on our website copper purchasing.
Copper purchasing in Katowice – working with companies from Silesia
Copper from industry and installations
Silesia is a region of heavy industry, energy and mining – which is why we mainly receive production waste from copper processing, power and mining cables, motor windings, and copper from the modernisation of installations. We price such consignments on a case-by-case basis, following an analysis of their composition.
What does the collaboration involve?
- Send us a description and photos of the material – we’ll prepare a preliminary quote.
- We arrange a date for collection or delivery to the branch.
- We weigh the material on certified scales and analyse it using an XRF spectrometer.
- We pay according to the actual grade and weight of the copper.
What determines the price of copper?
The price is determined by the grade and purity of the copper, copper prices on the LME, the euro exchange rate and the size of the consignment. For larger, regular deliveries, it is possible to lock in the price of the metal – see commodity price hedging.
